Patent Lets Vehicle Run On Water

By Hybrid Lover | July 23, 2008

by Hybrid Lover

An abundance of resources for human use is on this Earth. Sitting idly in the oceans is the most abundant of these resources, water. A way to use this water to make a cleaner and cheaper fuel is closer than we have ever thought.

In science fiction novels and movies, the water-fuelled car has been a standard. Many writers have found it to be the most fictional item they could create. They believed this because it seemed so implausible to make a reality.

These vehicles have been used by authors like H. G. Wells, Isaac Asimov, and Piers Anthony in their stories to generate a feeling of the futuristic and fantastic. The concept of the water-fuelled car seemed so preposterous due to the laws of thermodynamics. These writers had no idea of how close to reality their water-fuelled car really was.

Using water as a fuel is much cleaner and safer for the environment. With the abundance of this resource, it would seem we would never run out. It would also save our wildlife and lands from constant drilling.

The atmosphere of our world is deteriorating due to the chemicals caused by burning petrol. These chemicals are killing our world and creating a global warming effect. This results in another ice age or worse in the future.

Such harmful chemicals will not be generated using the water to create fuel. This will stop the drilling and polluting that comes with the fuels we are using now. The planet will then become healthy again.

Water-fuelled engines will make travel easier. Once it has been implemented into cars, it can be then regulated to airplanes, trains and boats. Having a boat that runs on water would be the best vehicle to own.

Inventors have taken ideas from science fiction writers for centuries. The telephone, the airplane, and the elevator were created by enthusiastic writers long before they became a physical reality. Inventions from the show “Star Trek” have become reality since the beginning of the show in the 1960’s by science fiction writer Gene Roddenberry.

The inventions taken from science fiction writers have taken years to complete. It took centuries before Leonardo Di Vinci’s idea of a helicopter became a reality. Well before it was ever a possibility, space travel was dreamed up by Copernicus.

As with most electronic devices, the Japanese have been the first to invent many of the electronic devices thought up by science fiction authors. The cell phone was created by Gene Roddenberry and advanced by Japanese companies. This is only once example of electronic science fiction becoming reality, the water-fuelled car is another.

Though the actual making of a water-fuelled car is incredibly hard, it has been done. A company in Japan is working on getting a patent for their concept. Once they have the patent, it should not be many years before we are driving these water-fuelled cars.

Visitors Accident Life Insurance

By C. Ray Sondeo | July 22, 2008

by C. Ray Sondeo

When you arrange any abroad trip, visitors accident life insurance is a very important part of your trip. For those, who face the accidental death or dismemberment during traveling or staying abroad, it provides visitor insurance. It is necessary for the people visiting or staying in USA or other foreign countries to buy a short term visitors accident/sickness medical policy.

People who visit the US or any other foreign country need emergency medical treatment, hospitalization or medical evacuation to their home country in case of an emergency. Most of the health care facilities in the US are privately owned and medical care is extremely expensive. The hospital costs can average more than a $2000 a day and a major illness can cost you $100,000.

A visitor medical insurance or visitor health insurance is therefore extremely necessary for visitors insurance. Accidents can happen any time and are largely unforeseen. Although most travel insurance policies cover accidents that happen while traveling, they are applicable to any injury, accident or sickness when on land. For that, you need Visitors accident life insurance that covers all your emergency medical needs.

You must choose your Visitors accident life insurance carefully. There are many companies offering different types of insurance. You need to compare the coverage policies, deductions and the rest of the things with other visitors insurance policies from other companies. This way you will get the visitors insurance that will suit your needs.

Visitors accident life insurance is quite different from the visitor medical insurance or visitor health insurance. The visitor medical insurance or visitor health insurance can cover any kind of medical expenses including costs of prescription medications, in-patient or out-patient surgeries, doctor’s fees, hospitalization, nursing and many others. On the other hand, the accidents like dismemberment (if any body part is severed) or death is only covered by the visitors accident life insurance. Visitors accident life insurance does not cover hospitalization for any other reasons such as illnesses, diseases and sickness.

You can take the visitors accident life insurance in multiple units of up to a million dollars. You can select either visitor insurance for self or visitor insurance for whole family. The private visitors accident life insurance can provide the security against the financial ramifications of accidents such as temporary or permanent disability, permanent or temporary loss of earnings or death of breadwinner, expenses directly related to the accident itself and the likes.

Also, a visitors accident insurance offers protection against the negative impact on a business’s image because of the customer accidents on business premises. This insurance has a no-fault liability principle, meaning the benefits are paid out irrespective of liability on the part of the customer, consequently enabling frequently difficult discussions on attributing fault to be dispensed with. Hence, the advantages are that business relations are not strained and cost savings to the liability insurer when it comes to claim adjustment.

So, the visitors accident life insurance is very important for you and your family. It allows you to enjoy your trip abroad without having to worry about your finances and your health. It is the perfect way to ensure that you do not have a financial catastrophe if you or one of your family members is involved in an accident.

Visitor Medical Insurance Plans

By C. Ray Sondeo | July 21, 2008

by C. Ray Sondeo

Visitor medical insurance plans are necessary when you travel abroad to foreign countries where the medical expenses can really soar. Your pocket alone cannot deal with the costs of hospitalization or any other medical emergency. You cannot pay all those hefty bills and still have a stable financial situation.

Insurance assumes great importance as in case of dire need too the doctors pay no heed to your condition if you do not have insurance. There are all kinds of visitor insurance plans provided by various organizations. Each plan has its own terms and clauses which are different from the rest. So it is necessary that you select the correct plan from the various visitor medical insurance plans.

When you purchase a visitor health insurance, the money that you pay as your premium is combined with the premiums of others to form a pool of money. That money is then used to pay the medical bills of participants who need health care. Your coverage is valid only till you keep paying your premiums.

The card that accompanies the visitors insurance policy is also very important and it forms a basis for your identification, in case you need to undergo any sort of medical treatment. If you need to claim any losses, then your visitor insurance agents can help you out. They check all your losses and make the necessary payments accordingly. At times your visitor insurance policy clears your bills directly or sometimes you need to make initial payments after which the policy pays you back.

Medical Insurance for USA visitors

By C. Ray Sondeo | July 21, 2008

by C. Ray Sondeo

Medical care is very expensive in USA and it is not possible to bare expenses by means of solely your bank account. That is the reason every one visiting USA should have visitor health insurance. USA Visitor Medical Insurance is a short-term medical insurance, which may cover a person from 0 days up to 3 years.

The USA Visitor Medical Insurance Plan will provide you coverage for doctor’s consultation payments, hospitalization charges, in and out patient charges, surgery, or any lab work such as blood tests, prescription drugs even after your policy has expired.

It is very important to consider all the benefits before you purchase any plan. It is essential to note that these visitor insurance plans do not cover the pre-existing conditions.

Some people buy the visitors insurance plans from India itself. These plans are hence low-cost. Some of the Indian insurance companies are United and … (others not mentioned)

Moreover, there are many insurance companies offer visitor health insurance coverage in USA. The main difference between Indian and USA visitors insurance policies is, with Indian insurance company you may need to pay from your pocket and then make the claims when you back in your own nation. Where as with USA Insurance policies you will have to pay a deductible as well as a remaining amount that will eventually reimbursed by the insurance company.

Some doctors in the US do not accept Indian visitor insurance policy. You will not even be allowed to visit them. This is why many people prefer purchasing the insurance from the US companies to prevent any hassles from happening after returning to India.

There are two types of plans in the USA visitors medical insurance plan namely, fixed and comprehensive coverage plans.

* Fixed coverage plan : It is more expensive than the comprehensive coverage policy. In such type of plans, you have first to pay the deductible (can be once per incidence or per period of policy), the insurance company pays the set maximum amount for every procedure such as $55 for the doctor’s visit, $1400 per day for the hospital room charges, $3300 for surgery treatment and the likes. The balance is to be paid by you. The amount for scheduled benefits should not exceed $50,000 or $100,000.

Prices are much more appealing when compared to comprehensive health insurance plans, but make sure that your expectations are being met, before you purchase any visitor health insurance plan. Very careful before you buy these plan because they pay a fixed amount for each procedure.

There are two well-known providers for the fixed coverage plans namely IMG (plan name - visitors care) and SRI (plan name - INBOUND USA).

* Comprehensive coverage plan : This type of visitor insurance is more expensive than a fixed plan but it provides much better coverage.

In such type of visitors insurance plans, you first have to pay the deductible then the insurance company pays 80% for the first $5000 and the remaining 20% is paid by you. After the $5000, insurance paid will be 100% up to the policy maximum for eligible medical expenses.

In some plans you first have to pay the 20% of the $5000 once in policy period and in some plans you will have to pay the 20% of the first $5000 for every incident.

Travel Insured during Summer

By Suchi V | July 20, 2008

by Suchi V

Summer is a popular time for travel. Children and the elderly must especially be careful to avoid over exposure to the heat. To be safe from the heat you can follow these tips:

1. Try to avoid being outside in the heat between 10 am and 2 pm. It is usually the hottest at that time. You can plan on doing some indoor activity at that time or try to stay in the shade.

2. When outside, dress comfortably in light colored, light weight clothing that is loose. Hats are very useful to shield your face and neck in hot weather. It is very important to wear clothes made with natural fibers so they can breathe.

3. Even if you do not have any direct exposure to the sun, you must wear sunscreen with SPF rating of at least 30. Read the labels for directions to re apply. Almost all of them require re application every few hours for maximum protection.

4. Drink a lot of water because it is easy to lose fluids in the heat. Do not wait till you are thirsty. It is better to drink small quantities of water throughout the day instead of large amounts at infrequent intervals. Do not consume excessive alcohol or drinks with too much sugar, it can cause dehydration.

5. Extreme heat conditions can cause heat stroke or heat exhaustion. Heatstroke can be fatal and sudden. Failure of sweating mechanism causes the body temperature to rise and can result in loss of consciousness. Very hot, dry and red skin is a common sign. Immediately cool the victim with ice and cold water and rush them to the hospital.

6. Heat exhaustion is more common and less serious. It is caused due to water and electrolyte loss. The person may exhibit signs of weakness and excessive sweating accompanied by a weak pulse and muscle cramps. The skin can be pale and clammy. Let the victim take some rest in the shade or in an air conditioned room. Provide fluids in frequent intervals.

In such situations it is important that you have necessary travel or visitor health insurance. Before you start on your trip, talk to your insurance agent. Have fun this summer!

Japanese Dragon Tattoos One Of the Best Of Japanese Tattooing

By Sara Smith | July 20, 2008

by Sara Smith

Truly one of the most majestic and magical of all the mythical beasts the dragon demands the attention it constantly receives in the world of tattoo designs. Dragon are prevalent design and symbolic elements throughout Asia including Chine and especially Japan. This has lead to a great deal of Japanese and Chinese artwork to use this mythical beasts as a central theme in their tattoo design work.

Japanese Dragon Tattoo Possibilities

There are really an endless number of possibilities when considering getting a dragon tattoo design. The size, style and location of the dragon can greatly change and enhance the symbolism behind the design. For example a dragon with fiery red eyes wrapped around a large sword might represent strength and power. Yet on the opposite end of the spectrum one depicted flying high in the clouds above a lake or the mountains might be a symbol for peace and freedom. What your dragon will symbolize is really dependent on the design and style you choose to give the dragon.

Dragon History In Japan

Dragons are a fundamental mythical animal or beast tot he Japanese people. In the Japanese language dragons are referred to as “Ryu” or often “Tatsu”. They of course are large yet slender serpent looking creatures. Often they live around large bodies of water such as the ocean of a big lake. They are well respected as a creature that has tremendous power and therefore the Japanese believe that the very first emperor of Japan had descended from a dragon and therefore is partially god himself.

Throughout Asian the dragon is a very significant animal that is part and parcel f the culture. In Japan like many other countries that Dragon is a sacred animal that has always inhabited the earth. There are numerous stories, myths, and legends as well as extensive art and design work.

Sculptures of dragons can be seen today throughout Japan typically in alters, temples and other places of worship. One of the most famous of these temples is at Miyajima also known as The Isle Of The Temple. This has become a famous spot for pilgrims, travelers and tourists to come and pray to the dragons for good luck and good fortune. Dragons are also revered at the Sonsoji Temple in Asakusa Japan.

Each spring the dragon is taken and paraded around the grounds of the Sensoji temple. During this festival thousands of people come from all over Japan to drop coins into a wooden box as a donation and gift to the temple and an offering to the dragon in hopes that the dragon will give them good luck. This festival is done each spring to commemorate the finding of the gold Kannon, an image of the goddess of mercy. It is believed that in 628 AD two brothers were fishing in the Sumida river at the time they discovered this beautiful statue of the Goddess of Mercy Kanon. At the time they discovered this legend states that gold dragons flew up out of the river and in to the sky to celebrate the discovery.

In both Buddhist and Taoist religious traditions the dragon is seen to also represent the hardships that a spiritual pilgrim will have to face in their journey towards enlightenment.

The dragon can also be foudn throughout Japans great literary works and is a prevalent image. For example there is the famous tale of Yamata-No-Orochi (an eight headed serpent) and Susanoo (the man). Yamata-No-Orochi is an eveil beast that devours young women whole. Until Susanoo is able to trick the serpent. He gets the serpent drunk and then is able to successfully kill him.

Japanese Dragon Tattoo Placement Since dragons are so prevalent through Japanese art, architecture, and literature there are many different even historically famous tattoo designs to choose from when contemplating getting a dragon tattoo. As far as location the most popular place is a very large full back piece. This allows for a lot of canvas space to truly depict the beauty and power of the mystical beast. You are not just locked into a large back piece however, as there are many different dragon tattoo designs to work with and you can get a tattoo anywhere on your body that you want. Typically calves, shoulders and sleeve tattoos also work well for dragon tattoos. The choice is up to you and what you want and what you are looking to express int he design.

Visitors Health Insurance for USA-India Travel

By Suchi V | July 20, 2008

by Suchi V

Chances are you or a family member is going to travel abroad for business or pleasure this summer. Most people dread a long flight in an economy seat especially if they are traveling with children. Following some simple tips can make the trip more comfortable.

Before you buy your ticket consult one of the many online seat map guides to find out the layout of the plane. This is especially useful if you are traveling in a group and want to be seated together. Make your seat selection while you purchase your ticket. Getting to the airport early can also get you a better seat. Avoid seats near the galley and restrooms especially if you are sensitive to smells. Bulkhead seats with extra leg room are best for those traveling with children.

If you have neck and back problems make sure you carry a neck pillow. To prevent a sore back use the airline pillow between your lower back and the seat. To keep your upper body loose and limber gently twist your torso often.

To prevent swollen feet rotate them at the ankle in a circular motion. Flex and stretch your feet often to maintain good blood flow. To avoid the dangerous condition of deep vein thrombosis (blood clots in the veins in the legs) try to walk in the aisles every few hours.

In flight air is very dry so you must moisturize your skin often to stay comfortable. Use a damp face cloth sprayed with some essential oils to perk you up. Avoid alcohol and coffee and drink plenty of water to stay hydrated.

You can bring chewing gum help you with changes in air pressure. You can also try to eat or drink something during takeoff and landing to minimize the effect on your ears. Yawning can also help relieve some of the symptoms. Be extra prepared if you have a cold or an infection it can cause a terrible earache.

Wearing loose clothes in natural fabrics is key to staying comfortable. Your feet can get swollen so try to wear slip on shoes that are not very tight. A jacket or sweater may be useful if it gets cold onboard.

When you travel abroad buy health insurance to cover your trip. Travel can be covered if you include those dates in your insurance plan. Your visitor insurance agent is your best resource for selecting the right health insurance plan.
