Alicante is a Must-See Place for Travelers

A town that is just 2 hours via London from Alicante region is Torrevieja - a city along the coastal area of Costa Blanca, Spain. The town boasts not only of blue sandy beaches and first class resorts but also of rich cultural history. Hence it is no wonder that Torrevieja is flocked by tourists not only from Spain but also from other European countries as well.

Once settled, it is best that you organize your itinerary based on your preference, type of activity and most of all, the time you’re willing to invest while spending your holiday in this town. Sightseeing in Torrevieja is one of the activities that is a must-do. The start of a very exciting adventure awaits you as you walk the streets of this town. One will find wide array of restaurants, facilities that cater not only to the young but old a like.

Explore the different towns within Torrevieja, Ciudad Quesada is situated within the town itself. The story of this town is the only town in Spain without any trace of significance brought about by foreign settlers or war torn history. Ciudad Quesada was formed from the dream of a child. A place where in people from different walks of life will not only enjoy life to the fullest but also live peacefully among each other.

Golf enthusiasts will find Orihuela Costa a haven to their hobby as this town has three golf courses to choose from. These are Villamartin, Las Ramblas and Campoamor.

If you’re looking for castles, sand dunes or just want to reminisce the era of 19th century, then Guardamar de Segula is the place for you. Another must-see town for walking enthusiasts is the town of Cabo Roig, also in Torrevieja. This is where you will experience a breath taking view of the town while taking a stroll along the cliff from Cala Caleta to La Zenia.

There are many more activities to choose from, if you’re into shopping then you will find yourself in the center of Alicante. It is a city that has wide choices of stores and shops that will definitely cater your needs. A place where you will find common amnesties such as cinemas, a water theme park and the movie theater. It’s like home away from home.

A must for every tourist coming to Torrevieja during the month of August is to watch and partake in Habaneras festival. It is very popular amongst local and foreign alike. This is an international music festival competition that showcases Latin American music. Everyone will have a chance to have fun as the festival is a one week celebration.

Amidst the blue waters, lively nightlife and towns that have history on its own. Torrevieja is also known through their food, a melting pot of different cuisines that will surely make the palate of each visitor watery. Aside from the popular local restaurants offering fresh fish, one may find cuisines such as Chinese, Italian, French, German even Indian and Serbian from the different international restaurant within the area.
